Meet Sarah Baethge, author of The Illumination Query

This week I’d like to introduce Sarah Baethge who is will be crowdfunding for her first novel, The Illumination Query, in June. She is looking for reviewers to post a review during the crowdfunding challenge. If you’re interested you can get in touch with her through her blog here:

What is one thing that no-one would usually know about you?

I can’t type but I do all of my writing on a computer.

Are the names of your characters important to you?

I can’t think of what I would change them to, but I didn’t name them after anything. I do have one character whom I’ve called both ‘Sam’ and ‘Eric’.

How did you choose a title for your book?

It was just something that came to mind and I thought it sounded original.

Do you think there is any elitism attached to the different genres of books, both in the fiction and non-fiction worlds?

If you give them the chance, people will be elitist about anything.

Do you have any hints or tips for aspiring writers?

Write what you enjoy and have fun with it.

Are you jealous of other writers?

No. if they are popular, they’ve probably written something that I can enjoy. I hope to do the same for them.

Tea, Coffee, Water, Juice, Wine or Beer … which do you prefer when writing?

Coffee is always good.

If you could commit the perfect murder where would you hide the body?

I’m not telling you that! If I ever do it, an answer here could be incriminating.
