It's time for Hysteria 2022

The theme for this year’s competition is Peace.


  • Overall category winner for each category – £300 plus publication in Hysteria 9
  • 9 runners up in each category – publication in Hysteria 9

Cost of entry £3 per submission.

The purpose of the competition is to showcase entries that appeal to all my visitors; I accept entries in any genre except erotica or horror.

Entries can be uploaded in .doc, .docx, rtf or txt format. No other file formats will be accepted and entries made using them will be disqualified.

Please make sure you read the guidelines and the rules before submitting your entry.

Categories are:

  • Short story – maximum 1,000 words
  • Flash fiction – maximum 250 words
  • Poetry – maximum 12 lines
